weekly photo challenge: cover art for “my heart beats a melody”
this is the cover shot for an album by young artists you could vaguely describe as electro-soul. think fka twigs, alunageorge, frank ocean, empress of, and the likes and you’re in the right region. the album is a tribute to soul star james ingram and are their interpretations of his greatest moments. the title: my heart beats a melody, is a line from one of his best songs.
shoreline
ever since I was eight or nine
i’ve been standing on the shoreline
for all my life i’ve been waiting
for something lasting
you loose your hunger and you loose your way
you get confused and then you fade away
oh this town
kills you when you are young
oh this town
kills you when you are young
