i adore the chestnut flowers in spring, the way they look like old fashioned lamps in the trees. the red chestnut flower is a hybrid, now that’s what i call red light special!
during fall you find them along the streets, all over italy, roasting their chestnuts. a warm handful to keep the cold winds away. this lady kept the people in the streets of torino warm.
