weekly photo challenge: doors (an italian odyssey)

doorsso, it was about 30 years ago (sigh!) and i was backpacking in italy. i had borrowed an old pentax camera with 2 lenses, trying to transfer a growing interest in making pictures into practice. it didn’t go very well… one of my inspirations, and aspirations, was to make a poster with doors and knockers – so with the weekly challenge this came into mind again. i know i should have left it in the dusty bin it was stored in, the pictures are shamefully unsharp to start with. anyways, some 30 years ago i had an ambition, and as i say nowadays – ambition is just another word for failure.

weekly photo challenge: broken

weekly photo challenge: new

newbarbie gets a new haircut, the long blond is apparently out of fashion – she’s now proudly wearing a real short cut. still blond but who knows for how long with this little lady in command, it’s not like she’s ever listened to “but kids normally don’t do like that” as an argument… (which is a good thing!)

weekly photo challenge: cover art for “my heart beats a melody”

my heart beats a melodythis is the cover shot for an album by young artists you could vaguely describe as electro-soul. think fka twigs, alunageorge, frank ocean, empress of, and the likes and you’re in the right region. the album is a tribute to soul star james ingram and are their interpretations of his greatest moments. the title: my heart beats a melody, is a line from one of his best songs.
