weekly photo challenge: extra extra

extra extraour first day in san francisco was very comprehensive; we did twin peaks, fisherman’s wharf, the steep hills of lombard street, a bit of presidio and then marine drive and the foot of golden gate.  got this shot showing the bridge standing for it’s name, when a pelican flew in to the picture adding an extra twist.

shine on you crazy diamondvacation has started, time to celebrate! we’ll be off to san fransisco later today and then i’ll be on a road trip for another 2 weeks, starting in LA. so i guess i’ll be a bit irregular here the coming weeks but i’m totally convinced afterwards i’ll have tons of pictures…

the small print requirement

dandelioni hope all of you that purchased a macro lens to your dslr have read the small print of the warranty statement provided with it. in the small print you’ll find the requirement to at least once a year shoot a dandelion macro and share in some kind of social media, or the warranty will be void. so, now my warranty is valid another year. 😉

uptownat least as i have understood, usually you have downtown, maybe midtown and then uptown. charlotte, nc, where i spend most of this week only has uptown. strange, but looks pretty ok. tried google, couldn’t find out why. that’s also strange…

now i need some good old prince to funk my day.

weekly photo challenge: split-second story (looking for a cleaner future)

amperafor some years i was an integral part of gm’s european branch of hybrid vehicle development, officially representing hybrids for saab at the auto fairs in paris, london and detroit. seeing the plug-in hybrid opel ampera, which is the european version of the chevy volt, on the streets of stockholm makes me proud even this day. i was a (very) small part of an important piece of the environmental puzzle, to switch road transportation from fossil fuels to sustainable sources of energy. i was part of a split-second story, not bad! today my part is the one of the enlightened consumer, acting responsible in my small daily doings. or at least trying to…

and on the photo, i like the reflection of the people looking for something; looking for a cleaner future maybe. 😉
